How Secure is a Generated Password?
A randomly generated 16-character password using all character types has over 100 trillion trillion possible combinations, making it practically impossible to crack with brute force. Our generator uses your browser's built-in cryptographic random number generator for true randomness.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the password stored or sent to any server?
No. All passwords are generated 100% in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing is ever sent to our servers. Your passwords are completely private.
How long should my password be?
For most accounts, 12โ16 characters is strong enough. For high-security accounts (banking, email), use 20+ characters. Our default is 16 characters which provides excellent security.
What does "password strength" mean?
Password strength is measured by entropy โ the number of possible combinations. More characters and more character types = higher entropy = stronger password. We rate passwords from Weak to Very Strong based on length and character variety.
Should I use the same password for multiple accounts?
Never. If one site is breached, hackers will try that password on other sites (credential stuffing). Always use a unique password for each account and store them in a password manager.
